The Barn at Cove Acre Farms

our story

Cove Acre Farms was a working livestock farm for much of the 20th century, and still bears the character of those years. It was transformed into an event venue in 2014 by the Wright family. The Johnson family purchased the farm in early 2018 and have since turned it to one of the most unique wedding barns in Alabama.

The barn is surrounded by farmland as far as can be seen, with a clear creek that flows through the property year round. There are approximately 14,000 square feet including two large, open balconies. The lower level includes bride and groom rooms with private baths.

You may hold your event where you would like on the property, though we do have a few suggestions. The barn offers a large room downstairs, and a beautiful wooden dance floor and stage upstairs for indoor events. Outdoor options include: a lovely arbor in a manicured lawn, in front of mature hardwood trees, or one of several creek-side settings.

“Each of us grew up here in the Gadsden area and between us there are over 50 years of providing professtional customer service. After retiring from our respective positions, we moved back to the Gadsden area to be near family and long-time friends. A few years later, we chose to purchase the farm and help people in a different way.

Cindy has a knack for decorating, all things green, and making people feel at home. Mike and several local staff keep the grounds and buildings managed and are the guys making things happen behind the scenes.

Our days are filled with grandkids, friends, and Cove Acre Farms. We’re here to make your day the best it can be. When you choose to hold your event at Cove Acre Farms we’ll make ourselves available to help answer any of your questions.”
